The Turtle KH Generator 250 g is specially formulated to increase carbonate hardness (KH) and stabilise pH in freshwater turtle tanks. Fluctuating water chemistry can stress turtles and lead to shell softening or poor health. This mineral blend provides a stable aquatic environment by raising KH levels and helping to lock pH in a safe range.

KH, or carbonate hardness, is the key to pH stability. Without it, your water becomes vulnerable to acidification over time. Low KH can also reduce the effectiveness of biological filtration and increase the risk of shell deformities. Turtle KH Generator corrects this by increasing the buffering capacity of your water, giving your turtles the stability they need.

In addition to its buffering effects, this powder includes calcium and essential trace minerals that support healthy shell and bone development. Regular use helps promote strong, well-formed shells and supports overall wellbeing.

To use, simply sprinkle the powder directly into the tank during your regular maintenance routine. Do not pre-rinse or dissolve. The water may appear cloudy for up to 48 hours after application—this is normal and will clear as the powder settles and integrates into the system.

This 250 g container is perfect for small to medium turtle tanks. Use approximately 5 g per 10 L to increase KH by around 7 dKH (125 ppm). Always monitor KH and pH levels using an aquarium test kit.
