API Nitrite Test Kit 

Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate are the 3 stages of the Nitrogen Cycle. Each stage is toxic to aquatic life and if left untreated will lead to fatalities.

 Ammonia (the 1st stage) is broken down by bacteria and converted into Nitrite which is then converted in its last stage to Nitrate.

 API's Nitrite Test Kit, will determine the present level of Nitrite in your aquarium, so you can act accordingly to a suitable treatment.

 This kit tests measures levels from 0 to 5.0 ppm. A Nitrite reading of 0 is desirable. 

 Suitable for freshwater use.
